Lector Ministry
The Lector Ministry is a vital part of our parish's liturgical life, providing an opportunity for parishioners to proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Lectors have the important responsibility of reading Scripture passages from the Old and New Testaments, delivering these sacred texts in a clear and engaging manner so that the congregation can reflect deeply on God's message. Through their ministry, lectors help to make the Word of God come alive for those who are gathered in worship.
Volunteers in this ministry are trained to read effectively, with appropriate tone and pace, ensuring that the Scriptures are communicated with reverence and clarity. Lectors are encouraged to spend time in prayer and preparation before proclaiming the Word, reflecting on the meaning of the readings and how they apply to the lives of the faithful. Their role is not just to read, but to convey the depth and power of God's Word, helping to inspire and uplift the community.
If you have a love for Scripture and a desire to serve in this meaningful way, we invite you to consider joining the Lector Ministry. By sharing your voice, you can help others hear and respond to God’s Word more fully. For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Church Office. Your participation will enrich our worship and deepen the spiritual experience for all who attend Mass.
