Are you interested in exploring the Catholic way of life? If you feel a stirring in your heart, we invite you to join us on the journey of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.). This journey is open to everyone, and participating in R.C.I.A. does not mean you are committed to becoming Catholic. Even if you are simply curious about what Catholicism entails, we welcome you to join us and learn more. The R.C.I.A. process offers a deep dive into the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, while also allowing you to experience its rituals, which reflect the community’s blessings, joy, and support.
Who Can Benefit from R.C.I.A.?
R.C.I.A. is ideal for anyone feeling called to explore the Catholic faith:
Those who have never been baptized as Christians.
Those who were baptized in another Christian tradition and are now interested in Catholicism.
Those who have worshiped with us but have never formally become Catholic.
Those who were baptized in the Catholic tradition but have not yet received the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.
Those who have been away from the Church and have now returned, seeking a deeper understanding.
Catholics who have not yet celebrated all the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist).
Those who have joined us from a different faith background and want to learn more about the Catholic Church.
Those who feel God may be guiding them toward the Catholic faith and want to explore this calling.
Friends, spouses, relatives, or dialogue partners of someone inquiring about the faith.
How to Begin Your Journey
To get started, simply contact our Parish Office and speak with our priest. They will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through the process. If you are already Catholic, consider reaching out to someone you know who may be open to an invitation to explore the Catholic faith. As Pope Francis reminds us, “We do not proselytize.” Instead, we joyfully share the message of the Gospel and extend a welcoming invitation.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a sacred process that brings those seeking spiritual answers into full communion with our parish community and the Catholic Church. Candidates participate in a variety of educational, spiritual, and social activities, gathering regularly to discuss aspects of their faith journey and Church teachings, liturgy, and practices. This journey culminates in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) during the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday.
